Wednesday, November 5th Fish Friendly Farming will be hosting the Road Erosion for Vineyards, Farms and Ranches workshop at the Roederer Estate Winery, 4501 Highway 128 in Philo 10 am- 2pm. Wednesday, November 12th The North Coast Agritourism Conference sponsored by the Mendocino County Promotional Alliance, The North Coast Tourism Council and the UC Cooperative Extension of Mendicno County will be held at the Ukiah Valley Conference Center. Experienced agritourism and tourism specialists will provide information on all aspects of agritourism; from identifying your products, getting your farm/ranch ready for tourists and utilizing marketing techniques. Thursday, November 13th Russian River Instream Flow and Restoration (RRIFR) community meeting on the Biological Opinion will be held at the Board of Supervisor's chambers in Ukiah at 6:30 pm. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions of staff. The Willits Watershed Group will be meeting at the Willits City Council Chambers at 7pm. Items of discussion will be the draft assessment of Outlet Creek, Caltrans proposed project effect, wildlands restoration and mitigation banking; all related to Outlet Creek. There will be a community meeting on the Biological Opinion of the Russian River In-stream Flow and Restoration to discuss flow changes at the Board of Supervisors chambers in Ukiah. Open house begins at 6:30 pm and the staff presentations begin at 7 pm. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions but the meeting is not a public hearing. Friday, November 14th The 2008 11th Annual IPM Seminar will be held at the Little Theater at Mendocino College. Registration opens at 7 am, seminar starts at 8 am . Tuesday, Novermber 25th The Mendocino County Dept. of Agriculture will be holding a training session on sulfur dixide regulations for winery personnel. All wineries that use S02 should send at least one person responsible for S02 usage. The meeting will be held at the Ag Dept on N. Bush Street in Ukiah at 10 am. No rsvp required.
