Member Definitions

"Individual" Members

An INDIVIDUAL member is a person who joins in his or her own name: (Sometimes referred to as a family membership)

A single person.
A married person, spouse and unmarried children under 25 years of age.
A widowed person and unmarried children under 25 years of age.
A divorced person and unmarried children under 25 years of age.

NOTE: A divorced person is one who has received a final dissolution of marriage decree. An interlocutory decree does not finally dissolve a marriage and is not considered a final dissolution of marriage.

"Partnership" Member

A PARTNERSHIP member is two or more persons operating as a partnership who join in the name of the partnership.

Any two or more persons operating as a partnership, whether or not they are blood relatives.
Any farm, ranch or business enterprise where more than one individual operates it or has a financial interest therein.

"Corporation" Member

A CORPORATION member is any corporation organized under the provisions of law which joins in the name of the corporation.

"Voting" Member $105 Annually

Any member residing or farming in Mendocino County who reasonably expects to receive, during the current membership year, income from actual farming operations either as an owner, a lessor, lessee, or officer, substantial shareholder or full-time employee of such owner, lessor or lessee shall be a voting member. The right to vote is limited to this class of members.
